Why the contract matters
A contract keeps one agreement’s results separate from another. Once activity is credited to a contract, it stays with that contract so past reporting does not change when a creator starts a new agreement.Launch attribution for a contract
1
Open Sales Attribution
In the EVO team workspace, open Sales Attribution.
2
Choose the client and contract
Start with Active or Onboarding to keep the client list focused on
current work. Choose All only when you need an older client. Select the
brand first, then the contract you are setting up. Check the contract name
and dates before continuing.
3
Choose the destination
Select a live shared or custom domain. Add the website page or app-store
destination customers should reach.
4
Review the creators
Choose Provision contract roster to prepare links and codes for the
active roster. Review every creator and the short name that will appear in
their link.
5
Choose what to create
Create links, codes, or both. Dialed identifies items that already exist so
the team can keep them without creating duplicates.
6
Resolve any conflicts
If a short link is already in use, accept the suggested alternative or
enter another clear option. Then run the final review.
7
Create and verify
Finish the setup, review the created and skipped items, and open at least
one link before sending anything to creators.
Create one link or code
Use New link or New code when:- only one creator needs an item;
- a brand-wide code is needed;
- a custom destination differs from the rest of the roster; or
- you are replacing an old link without changing the whole contract.
Hand off the tracking setup
Open Implementation kit for the selected client. Choose the section that matches the client’s website, app, or billing provider.- For a website, send the ready-to-paste EVO pixel instructions to the client’s website owner. Tracking does not begin until they install it and complete a test.
- For an app, send the app attribution checklist to the client’s app contact. Tracking does not begin until they install the EVO app setup and complete a test.
- For revenue reporting, complete the matching billing connection.
Launch with link-only reporting
A client can launch creator links before they approve website, app, or billing access. The links immediately report unique visitors and total redirects by creator, contract, and date. Tell the client that this is limited reporting. It does not confirm installs, sales, subscriptions, refunds, or revenue. The Overview page explains what is available now and what the client must connect next. Do not calculate click-through rate from link clicks alone. A true rate also needs the number of people who viewed the matching creator post. Dialed shows the rate only when that view information is available.When a creator leaves and returns
Removing a creator stops their active links and codes from receiving new credit. Their earlier clicks, installs, sales, and revenue remain in the original contract’s reports. If the creator returns later, add them to the current roster and provision the current contract. Dialed creates a fresh active tracking period while the old contract history stays unchanged. Do not reactivate an old contract’s link or code unless the account owner intentionally wants new activity credited there.Review results
In Overview, use the filters at the top of the page:
You can then:
- compare unique visitors, total redirects, installs, sales, and revenue;
- sort creators by revenue;
- set a minimum revenue amount;
- review recent activity by type;
- export the filtered creator table; and
- export the activity that matches the selected filters.
Before launch
- Confirm the selected domain shows Live.
- Open each new link and confirm the destination.
- Confirm every creator has the intended link, code, or both.
- For a connected billing service, use its built-in test mode and confirm the test stays out of live totals.
- Treat a normal website pixel purchase as live activity. Do not place one unless the client and account owner know it will appear in reporting.
- Share the final links and codes with the correct creators.
